I was repeatedly brought in to redesign training decks for NYU Shanghai's Department of Residential Education. The redesigned decks were well received by both presenters and student trainees for their clarity and visual polish.

Challenge

1. The original materials were dense, text-heavy slides with little thought given to layout or readability.
   
   

2. Any redesign needed to remain fully editable in Google Slides, since content would be updated by staff in future cycles.

Solution

1. First determine each deck's actual use case — live presentation vs. standalone reading reference — since that distinction drives the entire visual direction (pacing, density, hierarchy).
   
   

2. Design for long-term editability: export reconfigurable vector assets, and build in enough spatial flexibility for future text edits without breaking layout. Final delivery and formatting done natively in Google Slides.
